Lots of people can benefit from nutritional counseling, for many different reasons – whether you need a complete diet overhaul, are looking to manage a medical condition, want to fine-tune your food choices, or get inspiration for new, healthy recipes. It’s best to book a nutrition consultation after a check-up with your primary care provider to determine whether you have any specific conditions that can be addressed with nutrition, such as elevated blood sugar or cholesterol, or blood pressure issues.

While some people come in for a nutrition consultation to learn more about how their food choices affect their health and weight, others can benefit specifically from dietary interventions such as:

Perform and learn appropriate strength training, flexibility and cardiovascular exercises to support your lifestyle. This program is helpful for individuals with low to moderate asthma, allergies, lung conditions and active older adults.

Personal Best 'Here's To Your Heart' Program: Learn warm-up, exercise intensity, flexibility and breathing techniques to strengthen your heart, cardiovascular system and improve circulation. Learn to increase your energy levels, improve muscle tone, strength, balance and joint flexibility as well as stress reduction and relaxation techniques and weight management tips. This program is helpful for individuals with low to moderate hypertension/high blood pressure, high cholesterol and active older adults.

Personal Best 'Active Lifestyle' Program: Learn to become authentically healthy and create a sense of balance and harmony in your live. Learn interesting and challenging exercise, flexibility and breathing techniques to improve heart and bone health, improve energy levels and reduce muscle and joint aches and pains. TRX Suspension Training

TRX Suspension Training: Personal Best offers individual and small group cutting-edge TRX Suspension training, designed to reduce body-fat, tighten abs, sculpt and tone the entire body without weights. TRX suspension training was first introduced by the US Navy Seals. It's designed to use your own body weight and gravity to reduce body-fat, increase muscle definition, develop strength, balance and flexibility.

Youth Conditioning & Sports Specific Training

Youth Conditioning: the fitness professionals at Personal Best are positive role models - well spoken, dynamic, professionals, who have roots in the community and are in touch with the pressures that youths face each day. Parents can feel comfortable knowing that they are placing their children with consummate professionals who are serious about fitness and know how to effectively communicate with children.

Personal Best's Youth Conditioning Program is designed to teach your child age-appropriate, proper weight training techniques so that they can learn the fundamentals of a proper training program as they get older. Your child will 'learn and apply' a training program that they will perform on their own (we call it 'fit-work'), while working side-by-side with a Personal Best fitness professional to stay motivated and continue making strides. In addition, your child will learn basic nutrition information to help them make healthy eating choices.

Sports Specific Training: At Personal Best, we train all athletes engaged in all types and levels of sport, from elementary to high school, to collegiate and professional levels. Our elite fitness professionals serve as mentors, educators and motivators to help enhance athletic performance. For young athletes to be more efficient in any sport they need to learn how to train movements specific to their sport. The "one workout fits all" mentality simply does not work.
